African American History & Heritage Program set for February 29th
The Kennard Alumni Association will present an afternoon celebrating “African American History & Heritage,” starting at 2pm, on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at the restored Kennard African American Cultural Heritage Center and Museum, 410 Little Kidwell Avenue, in Centreville, MD. Come and experience African American History and Culture through song, spoken word, dance, and art history exhibits. This celebration is a “must see and hear” for all family members and will feature youth and adult performances. Doors will open at 1:00 PM. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for ages 5 and under.
Light refreshments will be provided. All proceeds benefit “The Kennard Alumni Scholarship Fund,” supporting deserving seniors of Queen Anne’s County. Contact Clayton Washington at 443-239-2110 for more information.
